Bo Jin received the 2015 Medallion of Honor from the President of USC for his excellent work in monitoring and teaching students

Bo Jin, a senior Ph.D. student advised by Professor Steven Nutt, Director of USC Gill Composites Center, received the 2015 USC Medallion of Honor for his excellent contribution in teaching and mentoring USC students. The medallion and the award along with a check of $1,000 were presented at USC Town and Gown in the 34th Academic Honor Convocation hosted by USC President Dr. C. L Max Nikias. Bo received this special honor representing STEM field in USC.

Bo is well known by USC Viterbi Engineering students for merging attractive research experience into his clear and precise teaching on tough subjects. His research focuses on finite element analysis of high-performance composites for automotive and aerospace structures. Bo has been working at MSC NASTRAN (NASA Structural Analysis) and PATRAN Development from 2012 to 2014.

From April to September 2015, Bo is visiting and developing research projects on computational micromechanics at IMDEA Materials Institute in Madrid, Spain.
