USC M.C. Gill Composites Center participate in UCLA TBP Research Expo

On June 2nd, 2023, the Tau Beta Pi Research Center Expo was held at UCLA to bring together professional and aspiring researchers from various disciplines. Among them were three graduate students from the USC M.C. Gill Composites Center: Alison Kennedy, Carineh Ghafafian, and Patricio Martinez.

These  students were the only representatives from USC and talked about their current work with undergraduate researchers. They answered questions about indterdisciplainry research, industry versus academia, materials science, and opportunities at USC. The students played a crucial role in inspiring the next generation of researchers, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and encouraging exploration in composites and materials science. Their efforts at the expo fostered a sense of collaboration and innovation, paving the way for future advancements in the field.
