Bo Jin received the “2014 Award For Excellence In Teaching” By USC Office Of The Provost

Bo Jin, a 4th year Ph.D. student advised by Professor Steven Nutt, Director of USC M.C. Gill Composites Center, received the USC 2014 “Award for Excellence in Teaching”. The award was presented in a reception at the University Club by USC Executive Vice Provost Dr. Michael Quick and Director of USC Center for Excellence in Teaching (CET) Dr. Edward Finegan on Nov 12th. This is the third time in a row Bo takes home the highest honor USC bestows on its TAs.

The USC “Award for Excellence in Teaching” is awarded to graduate teaching assistants who exhibit consistent excellence in the classroom and symbolize the university’s dedication to the education of scholar-teachers. The award recognizes exceptional contributions by teaching assistants to the missions of the university. It is the highest honor USC bestows on its TAs for outstanding teaching work to emphasize the University’s recognition of the significant role that teaching plays in its mission.
