USC wins multiple awards at SAMPE University Research Symposium

Ph.D. students Yijia Ma and Yixiang Zhang and undergraduate student Trisha Palit were selected as finalists for the SAMPE University Research Symposium at the CAMx 2018 conference. The symposium took place on Oct 14-15, and the conference were held on Oct 15-18 in Dallas, TX with a record 570 exhibiting companies and more than 7,000 attendees at the expo and conference.

Yijia received 3rd place in PhD category for her presentation titled ”Chemical Recycling of Amine/Epoxy Composites at Atmospheric Pressure: Fiber Recovery and Matrix Reuse”. Yixiang received honorable mention in PhD category for her presentation titled ”Moisture Absorption in a Phenylethynyl-Terminated PMDA-TYPE Asymmetric Polyimide and Composites”. Trisha received 2nd place in undergraduate category for her presentation titled ”Permeability of Cured Composite Skins Produced Using Co-Cure over Honeycomb Core”.
