PhD students Sarah Schechter and Yijia Ma won Outstanding Technical Papers Award at the 2018 Society of the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE) Conference. The conference was held in Long Beach, CA, on May 22-24, 2018, with 200 sessions. Attendees included over 4,000 people from 35 countries.
Sarah Schechter received 1st place for her paper titled “Fabrication of Out-of-Autoclave Prepreg with High Through-Thickness Permeability by Polymer Film Dewetting.” Yijia Ma received 3rd place for her paper titled “Recycling of Amine/Epoxy Composites Using Chemical Treatment at Atmospheric Pressure.”
