Lessa Grunenfelder won first place in the SAMPE 2011 Outstanding Paper competition for her paper titled “Out Time Effects on VBO Prepreg and Laminate Properties.”

      Lessa Grunenfelder took first place in the student research symposium held at the SAMPE 2011 Conference in Long Beach, May 23-26. As the first place winner in the PhD category, she receives a trip to Paris to present her research at SAMPE’s European conference, which will be held in March of 2012.   Lessa is a 4th-year PhD student in materials science and is advised by Prof. Nutt, Director of USC’s Composites Center.
