April 08, 2010 —
PhD Candidate Christina Naify was awarded second place in the Second Annual GPSS (Graduate and Professional Student Senate) Poster Symposium hosted by the Graduate School.
The symposium was open to all graduate and professional students at USC and provided an interdisciplinary forum for original scholarship in the form of a poster. Posters were displayed in the VKC Courtyard and judged by a panel of esteemed USC faculty. Posters were submitted from 80 students in 45 departments and 12 different schools.
Christina’s poster was titled “Transmission Loss of membrane-type locally resonant acoustic metamaterials” and will be presented at the 159th Meeting of the Acoustical Society of America in Baltimore, MD on April 21, 2010.
